DOLMABAHCE PALACE The Dolmabahçe Palace, a blend of various European architectural styles, was built between 1843-1856 by Karabet Balyan, the court architect of Sultan Abdulmecid. The tree-stooried palace built on a symmetrical plan has 285 rooms and 43 halls. The Palace has survived intact with its original decorations, furniture, and the silk carpets and curtains. It surpasses all other palaces in the world in wealth and magnificence.
 

BEZM-İ ALEM VALİDE SULTAN MOSQUE 
The mosque's construction was originally backed by Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan. After she died, Sultan Abdülmecid, her son, continued to support the construction of the mosque. Upon completion in 1855, it was opened for prayer services.

So it's a good opportunity to have a look at the reasonable priced good quality leather accessories.
 

 

Topkapi Museum is the biggest one...the most important museum of Turkey and the Balkan Peninsula. It's an incomparably rich treasure-chest, brimming with things of historical importance. The snag is that you can't see for looking both because of the embarrassment of riches and the sheer size of the place (the Palace area covers 80 acres - set off in the wrong direction and you have to walk three times too far).

Topkapi Palace:  The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of cyrstal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed.
